The book begins with basic settings on getting started with Bentley MOSES without any previous experience with the software. This is followed by elementary naval architecture applications in hydrostatics, intact and damaged stability with automated tools, connection settings between cargo units and barges, time domain analyses, mooring systems, frequency domain analyses, definition of fender elements and finally the necessary settings to convert a SACS model to MOSES. The emphasis throughout is on best modelling practices, information on MOSES architecture and tutorials. This work is intended to be of interest to both naval architects and project engineers with background in mechanical engineering.

Georgina Maldonaldo is a MOSES specialist for Bentley Systems based in Houston, United States. She has been working for the Offshore industry for more than 20 years and has been involved in marine operations such as loadouts and mooring analyses including salvage operations in hostile environments. She holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received her MSc from Texas A&M University. 
 
Spiro J. Pahos is a MOSES Application Engineer for Bentley Systems based in London, United Kingdom. He is a Chartered Engineer with experience in numerical modelling and advanced engineering analyses of marine and offshore systems. He has worked on offshore-related projects for 15 years as an integrity engineer as well as in technical services in the CAE industry. He holds an Meng and PhD in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
